5 Healthy-ish Toddler Approved Snacks

Updated: Feb 16, 2022

Wrangling a one-year-old is no easy task. One day we are happily eating everything in sight, and the next we are throwing a snack-trum with food flying at mommy's head. With that said, I try to have multiple "healthy" (okay - healthy enough) snack options at hand to keep our sweet baby's belly full.

  1. Egg Muffins - These are fun to make and there are a variety of options for these. Typically, we cut up spinach, ham, and cheese and mix them with the eggs in a bowl. All you do from there is bake them in a muffin tin and then throw in the fridge for a quick, easy, and delish breakfast. We eat them cold or nuked.

  2. Cut up fruit - Just as it sounds. I wash and cut up strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers, blackberries, cantaloupe, cherry tomatoes - you name it - and put them on the tray. If we let him, our son would live solely on blueberries.

  3. Banana/Apple Chips - Cut fruit. Dehydrate. Enjoy. (We don't bake until they are super hard, obviously, as our son only has 6 teeth atm).

  4. Shredded Rotisserie Chicken - This takes a little bit of prep work, but once that big ready-to-eat Tupperware full of chicken is in the fridge, trust me, you'll thank me. *Be careful of bones

  5. Gluten Free Oatmeal Bars - I will make a post with this recipe. They are so. freaking. good. And these are extremely easy to customize.
